With the recent news of a whale washing up on the shores of Thailand, we are happy to hear Woolworths is banning single-use plastic bags. Can we say the same for Coles? Not really.

Whale Washed Up On Thai Shores

ABC reported earlier this year that a whale had washed up with approximately eighty plastic bags and other assorted rubbish weighing eight kilograms in its stomach. This comes just months after a whale washed up on the beaches of Spain was found with thirty kilograms of plastic waste in its stomach. The items included plastic bags, straws, ropes, nets and even a drum.

This is why we fight for the rights of those who can not fight for themselves.
